Arunim school for kids with special needs, Patna was formerly known as SNMRDF – Interactive Autism Centre (IAC), Patna was established the in 2010 to create a program for kids between the age group of 2 – 15 years on the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other Neuro-developmental disorders.
Arunim school for kids with special needs believes that individuals of varying abilities can be taught functional skills and communication to lead independent, productive, and rewarding lives as adults. Often, children, who have moderate-to-severe needs, are unable to integrate into mainstream schools and classrooms. Arunim plays a pivotal role in providing a curriculum that fits the needs and abilities of such children and prepares them for integration and assimilation to the best of their abilities.
Early behavioral, cognitive, or speech interventions can help kids with special needs gain self-care, social, and communication skills. These should be accepted as a difference and not treated as a disorder.
Arunim school, Patna India, is committed to extend therapeutic interventions.
Currently the institute is creating a fund in association with SNMRDF (trust) for those special children whose parents can’t afford Rs 6000 per month as the therapy charge (which is much more in metros). They enroll 25 kids (which is their maximum capacity at present) for the next one year for intensive early intervention therapy absolutely free at centre. Eligibility kids from families with annual income of less than 3 lacs
